Why Digital over film?
The standard for weddings and commercial photography has until recently been medium format film. 135 mm cameras could be used in a pinch, but the professional standard was medium format. Digital approached the quality of 135 mm when the 6 mp professional cameras came about. Medium format quality came with 11 mp professional cameras.

Our primary camera is the 11 mp Cannon 1Ds. This is the highest quality digital SLR in the world. It compares in quality and resolution with the best of the medium formats. It provides superior noise control over film. We also use Canon "L" series lenses, Canon's highest quality professional lenses.

Because medium format film is so expensive, most photographers had to limit shots. Many great candid's were lost. With digital, there is little film cost, so more shots can be taken allowing for some
great candid's and allowing for experimenting with different exposures settings and techniques for posed shots. Plus, with digital, we can correct any problems with the finished shot. To put it into a nutshell.. high end digital formats simply blow away film.. in quality, flexibility, creativity & expense.
